Day 112 blog

Today was a travel day, but it started on a productive note. I woke up, found the gym in the hotel, and got a good workout in once I finally tracked it down. There is something about moving your body first thing that just resets everything, especially after a busy week of speaking, events, and late nights. After the gym, I made the donation to the employee help fund for the last company I spoke with. Following through on that felt important. It is one thing to talk about impact and another to actually do it.

After wrapping that up, I headed to the airport and jumped on a plane back to Texas. Travel days always feel long, even when everything goes smoothly. Once I landed, I still had a two hour drive home ahead of me. I made a quick stop to grab some food on the way because there was no chance I was cooking tonight. By the time I walked through my front door, I was officially in relaxation mode.

Now it is 9:30 pm, I am showered, in bed, and reading. Such a wild Friday night over here. Honestly though, after the last few weeks of being on the go, this feels perfect. No heels, no stage lights, no networking, no schedule. Just quiet.

I am planning to take this entire weekend to be intentionally lazy and non productive. No big plans, no major to do lists. Just rest, reset, maybe catch up on a show, read, sleep in, and let my mind breathe a little. Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is absolutely nothing.

It feels good to be home.

Signed, Paulina.

It’s really impressive and a little funny at the same time when you are so determined to go to the gym that even if the hotel you’re staying at doesn’t have one you will go track one down like other people track down a good coffee place; like I got to have my workout no matter what!

Wonderful to hear you completed the donation to the partner companies help fund. I’m sure that made you very happy on more than a few levels; you certainly do more than talk the talk.

Glad you have an uneventful flight, even though you had a long drive home it must have been a nice feeling you were going home and not…

I’m embracing every moment of it. This weekend I’m moving slow and love it!
