Today started off with a little shopping in town. I had no idea when I left the house that it was Texas’ 109th birthday, but when I got downtown there was the cutest little street fair happening.
Booths lined the streets, music playing, families walking around, and just a really happy energy in the air. I love when you randomly walk into something like that. It makes the day feel special without even planning it.
I spent some time walking around, stopping at different booths, chatting with vendors, and just enjoying the atmosphere. I met a lot of new people, which I genuinely enjoy. There is something refreshing about simple conversations and unexpected connections. I also ran into a few people I already knew, which made it even more fun.
Small community celebrations just hit different. They are simple, but they bring everyone together. No pressure, no rush. Just people enjoying the moment and celebrating something bigger than themselves.
Now I’m back home, in the movie room, winding down and watching a movie. After being out and about, it feels nice to relax and just be still. A little shopping, a surprise street fair, good conversations, and now a cozy night in.
Honestly, a really good day from start to finish.
Signed, Paulina.
