I’m writing this a little earlier today because I’ll be heading to church soon, and tonight is a big night for me. The Easter Vigil starts at 9pm, and by the time everything is done, it will be a late one.
Tonight, I’m getting baptized as an adult at the church I was baptized as a baby.
It’s something I’ve been working toward for the past four months, taking the time to learn, grow, and really understand what this means in my life. Working side by side with my Priests. Choosing to take this step during the Easter service makes it even more meaningful. There’s something powerful about this moment, about stepping into something new during a time that represents renewal and new life.
I feel a mix of emotions. Excitement, peace, and a deep sense of gratitude. This isn’t just about a moment tonight, it’s about a commitment, a fresh start, and continuing to grow in my faith.
Looking back at the past few months, I can see how much I’ve changed, not just in what I’ve learned, but in how I think, how I move, and what I value. And tonight feels like the beginning of a new chapter.
I’m excited for what’s ahead. Excited to continue growing, learning, and building a stronger foundation in my faith.
Tonight is more than just a service. It’s a new beginning.
