Day 159

We started the day early, heading straight to the rooftop hot tub to catch the sunrise before our drive back home. It was one of those quiet, peaceful moments where everything just feels still. Watching the sun come up, taking in the views, and knowing we had nowhere to rush to was the perfect way to start the morning.

After that, we went back, showered, and got ready to head out. Everything was going smoothly until, at some point on the way out, the stairs apparently decided to have a moment with me and I took a tumble. Not exactly how I planned to end the trip. Luckily, nothing is broken, but my ankle definitely took a hit and will be feeling it for the next few days.

Still, it’s not stopping anything. If anything, it just reminded me to slow down a little, even if only for a second.

The drive back gave us more time to talk, reflect on the trip, and just enjoy one last stretch of that calm energy before getting back into everything. Trips like this always feel short, but they leave a lasting reset.

Now I’m home, getting everything packed up for my next trip this weekend. It feels like life is moving fast again, but in a good way. I’m learning how to balance the movement with moments of stillness, and honestly, I think that’s what makes everything feel so full.

Even with a slightly beat up ankle, I’m grateful for the experiences, the memories, and the ability to keep moving forward.

Signed, Paulina.
