Today started at church. My friend Martin decided to stay in Texas for a few days, so he came along with me. After church we hit the gym together and got a solid workout in. Once we finished, we went back to my house to shower, change, and get ready.
We drove about forty-five minutes to College Station to go to Santa’s Wonderland. Once we got there, we ate some delicious Texas-style BBQ, then treated ourselves to funnel cake and hot cocoa. We sat by one of the fire pits for a while to enjoy the warmth and festive atmosphere.
Santa’s Wonderland was really fun. We enjoyed all the holiday lights, walked through the festive displays, and played in the snow playground, making snowballs, snow angels, and snowmen. Later, we went on a horse-and-carriage ride through the park to end the night.
We soaked in all the holiday energy, laughs, good company, and festive spirit.
Now we are driving back to my house to relax. Martin heads back to Tennessee tomorrow, but even though the visit was short it meant a lot. Yesterday was a good birthday and today turned out to be a fun, chill follow-up.
Sometimes it is less about doing every single thing, and more about who you are with, and tonight that made all the difference.
Signed, Paulina.

I’m so happy that you go to spend another day with Martin and just enjoy the day getting into the Christmas spirit. Eating funnel cake and Texas BBQ along with some hot cocoa sounds like a perfect day. Later going to Santa’s Wonderland sounds like a lot of fun; getting make snowmen and snow balls and just having a wonderful time for yourselves mush have been a blast. Then topping it off with a horse drawn carriage ride just really puts it over the top. I don’t even know if you can get a carriage ride in California let alone find a Santa’s Wonderland; it really seem you have found your true home in Texas and I couldn’t be happier…
