Day 40 blog

Today was a big day for me. I had a speaking event with a pretty large company, sharing my story. The real story. The one that started with four years of being held against my will, abused, and trafficked, and somehow led to me standing here now as the owner of seven multimillion dollar businesses. Every time I tell it, it still feels surreal. But today’s event was different in the best way.

Instead of jumping straight into my story, I took the time to learn about them first. Their culture, their goals, their struggles, what they have overcome as a team. And that opened the door for hours of genuine conversation. Not surface level. Real dialog. They shared, I shared, and we connected on things that go far beyond business or titles. It felt like we were all sitting in the same chapter of life for a moment, learning from each other.

After the event, they invited me to dinner, and we ended up going to a local show afterward. Honestly, with some of the medical issues I have been dealing with lately, today was a bit of a challenge. Staying energized, staying present, pushing through the fatigue was not the easiest. But God carried me, like He always does. And somehow everything fell into place. The conversations flowed, the energy came when I needed it, and the whole day turned out beautifully.

I left feeling grateful. Grateful that my past did not break me. Grateful that I can use it to help others. Grateful that I get to live a life I once prayed for. And grateful that even on the days where my body is struggling, my purpose still shows up stronger than anything trying to hold me back.

Another chapter written. Another reminder of why I keep going.

Signed, Paulina.

Every step you take forward brings you closer to who you want to be and I think this speaking engagement must have been even more important then you could even express fully.  You took a brave step earlier this year by deciding to start this blog as a way to help you heal and move forward in your life.  I’m sure getting comfortable writing about your day here every day has helped to give you more confidence to stand in front of a room of people and just express yourself about a deeply personal subject in a way that would have been very difficult for you.  I’m so happy that it was an incredible experience for you and became something…
