I woke up today with a heavy heart. No specific reason, just one of those mornings where the weight is there before you even open your eyes. I know the nonstop pace I have been on lately has not helped, and the recent drama floating around certainly hasn’t either.
It is wild how comfortable some people are hiding behind a phone or computer to harass, bully, or stir things up. It says a lot more about where they are in life than anything else. I am learning that not everything deserves my energy, my response, or my explanation. Peace is worth protecting.
I started the day at the hotel gym, which helped me reset a bit. After that, my VP and I met up with the team for our newest investment deal. This is a new field for me, but I can confidently say these people are aligned with my values, goals, beliefs, and motivation. That alignment makes all the difference, especially after experiences in the past where it was missing.
After spending a few hours with the team, we met with our party planners to go over final details before setup begins for Saturday. This event has been six months in the making, and I am genuinely excited about it. Being able to bring together employees from both companies, along with their families, to relax, celebrate, and feel appreciated means more to me than words can explain.
Now I am back in my room, relaxing in the quiet and spending some one on one time with God. Letting the day settle. Letting my nervous system slow down. Grateful for the growth, the clarity, and the reminder that I get to choose who and what has access to me.
Signed, Paulina.

I’m sorry your day didn’t start so great and things were just feeling very heavy for you as you said. I think your right that everything you’ve been juggling lately took a little toll on you and it caught up with you a bit. I know in a short time thought you will get to relax a bit as you have that skiing trip coming up as well as a few other trips you said you had planned going into early next year.
I’m happy that the team you met with are people that aligned with your values and I hope that your new business venture will be everything you hoped for but time will tell as you are…
