Today was a full and beautiful day. We spent most of the morning cooking and preparing food for our Christmas Eve meal for members of the community who are homeless or less fortunate. Here in Texas, we were blessed to use our local high school cafeteria. I am so grateful to them for opening their doors and supporting what we were able to do.

We served a hot meal to 500 people, and every child who came was able to choose two toys of their own. Santa even made an appearance, which brought so many smiles and moments I will never forget. At the same time, our California team, made up of employees and close friends, was doing the same thing in Los Angeles, serving another 500 meals and spreading that same love.

After everything I have been through in my life, I am constantly reminded that my purpose is bigger than me. God continues to show me that my role is to help make the world a little better and to offer love wherever I can. I would not change my life for anything because every part of it has shaped me into who I am today.

We ended the evening at Christmas Eve candlelight Mass with my parents and grandparents at my church here in Texas. Happy Birthday, Jesus. I truly could not have asked for a more meaningful day.

Tomorrow is Christmas, and I hope each of you has a blessed day surrounded by the people you love. If you are out and about, please be patient and kind to those who are working. If you can, do something thoughtful for our first responders who are on duty. Even a smile or a kind word can mean more than you realize.

I am beyond thankful for everyone who has stood by me and cheered me on this year. And to those who treated me poorly, spoke about me, hurt me, or chose to walk away, thank you as well. I wish every single one of you a very Merry and blessed Christmas.

Signed, Paulina.

I am beyond happy that the event went so well; seeing so many people, so many faces just light up just because of a simple meal really makes you appreciate everything most of us take for granted.  I can only imagine the looks on the children’s faces when they got to pick not one but two gifts for themselves.  I believe you are right Paulina when you said what God put you here on this planet for and that was to help people!  I’m sure though that next year, you’ll endeavor to help even more, and continue to help as many people as possible year after year.  You truly embody the spirit of Christmas my friend and I will never…
