The biggest kryptonite to success is procrastination. Not lack of talent. Not lack of resources. Not lack of opportunity. It’s excuses. It’s waiting. Waiting to feel ready. Waiting for motivation. Waiting for the perfect moment that never comes.
I wake up early every single day because nothing is handed to you. While someone else is posting pictures, talking about the grind, or showing their highlight reel, I’m already working. I’m not sleeping in. I’m not taking it easy. I’m sitting down and putting in the work. And honestly, I’m glad others are comfortable, because while they’re waiting, I’m moving.
Today I was up at 4am because I had to get the work done before I traveled. No complaints. No excuses. That’s just what needed to happen. And that mindset is everything. If you want growth, you make the time. You don’t look for it. You don’t wait for it. You create it.
Here’s the hard truth. Nobody is coming to save you. Nobody is waiting for you to be ready. Growth doesn’t care how tired you are or how busy you feel. If you keep making excuses, someone else is passing you by while you talk yourself out of starting.
Being up that early actually fires me up. Knowing I’m putting in the work while others are still sleeping motivates me. I’m grinding. I’m building. And I’m not waiting for permission to do it.
Most people are waiting for a moment that never arrives. The right time. The right sign. The right feeling. Meanwhile, opportunity doesn’t wait. Growth runs away from comfort. Real progress only happens when you’re uncomfortable.
When I look back over the last five years, the reason I’ve grown is simple. I stayed uncomfortable. I didn’t wait until it felt easy. I showed up anyway. Every day.
While some people scroll social media and consume nothing useful, someone else is learning. While some people plan for tomorrow, someone else is taking action today. That’s the difference. Action beats intention every time.
I’m also not interested in announcing everything I’m doing. Most successful people aren’t. We’re not talking about it. We’re not posting every move. We’re just doing the work. Quietly. Consistently. Relentlessly.
Nothing is handed to you. You earn it. And the secret to success is simple. Wake up. Quit making excuses. And just do it.
That’s how growth happens.
Signed, Paulina.

Nothing worth having can be done without sacrifice; it’s hard to achieve your goals and it’s supposed to be. When you have the opportunity to pursue something you do it! It doesn’t mean if you don’t get to somewhere by a certain age you didn’t try hard enough, it just means keep trying period. Make the time to do the things that are important to you and do your best. The person that has more passion and less opportunity will do better than the person that has all the opportunity and less passion.
We all have things to do in our lives and of course there are mitigating factors but you are absolutely right Paulina, the biggest obstacle to…
