Day 81 blog

It’s been a while since I’ve really given an update on my day to day life, and honestly, that feels intentional. Lately I’ve been enjoying my time exploring the beautiful countries I’ve been in and allowing myself to be fully present in those moments.

One of my biggest goals this year has been to spend less time on my phone and away from constant distractions. I realized how easy it is to lose hours scrolling through funny videos, great posts, and life updates from people I barely know. And while there’s nothing wrong with social media, I noticed how much it was pulling me out of my own life.

So I made a shift.

Instead of sitting and scrolling, I focus on what I’m doing for the day. Where I am. What I’m seeing. How I’m feeling. I choose presence over distraction. Don’t get me wrong, I still get on social media and check in with my close circle, but I’m no longer spending hours and hours consuming everything around me.

Being outside in the world, reading books, and actually experiencing all the great things the real world has to offer has changed so much for me. My anxiety has quieted. My stress has eased. My mind feels clearer. Life feels lighter.

There’s something powerful about reconnecting with the physical world instead of living through a screen. Walking through new places. Sitting with a book. Noticing the details. Letting moments unfold without documenting every second.

I’ll be out here for a little bit longer, soaking it all in, and then I’ll head to California for the Super Bowl. A few weeks after that, I’ll be in Vegas for a speaking engagement. And after that, who knows where the world will take me.

This season has reminded me that peace isn’t found in constant updates or endless content. It’s found in presence. In experiences. In choosing to live instead of watch life pass by.

And honestly, I wouldn’t trade that feeling for anything.

Signed, Paulina.

This it such an important issue for so many people today and I’m so glad you brought it up and are making the personal changes in your life to reflect how you want to spend your time.  This high tech world we live in has a way of swallowing us whole and we forget about everything this beautiful world has to offer.  This has really been a realigning for you indeed Paulina, to have this time for yourself and reconnect with parts of you that have atrophied and now are being nurtured back to life.

One of my great joys in life that really helps me to re-center myself is gardening.  The feeling of dirt in my hands and…
