Day 8

Today was a reset I genuinely needed.

We made the four hour drive to the wellness spa. It was long, but somehow peaceful. The kind of drive where the air feels quiet and the world slows down a little before you even arrive.

We started with breakfast, something simple but really good. It set the tone: slow, present, nothing rushed. Then came the massages and facial. I didn’t realize how much tension I had been holding until I felt it leave. My body felt lighter, like I could breathe a little deeper again.

After that, we went to the thermal pools and sauna. The heat, the water, the stillness, it felt like everything in me unclenched. Just letting myself exist there with no deadlines, no conversations that needed effort, no noise. Just warmth and quiet.

It felt like a reset.

A reminder that it’s okay to stop and refill myself.

My mood all day was soft, relaxed, steady. Grateful, I think.

The drive back didn’t even feel long. It felt like we were carrying the calm back with us.

And now I am relaxing on the couch watching movies with my pups.

I needed today. And I’m glad I gave myself permission to have it.

Signed, Paulina.
